This is my first ever review and i only felt compelled to add my negative review in the hopes that another one star would help bring down the high rating that this overrated movie has gotten. my complaints are similar to other reviewers here who gave a low rating of the movie. there's no character development. the kids were trying too hard to be funny. bill's interpretation of pennywise was horrible. i am still cringing at that dance number he did before he strangled beverly. i just want to punch his bunny teeth in every time he shows up on the screen. this is so sad for me as i love the book very much and i remember watching the original mini series and being really scared for days esp that sink scene with beverly.

This movie was a great movie it was definitely better than the mini series and Pennywise in this movie was way scarier this movie was so amazing it had so many amazing things to it the only reason I give it the score I did is because it didn't scare me as much as I wanted it too and also it didn't contain the scene with the kids having sex like in the book I wish they did to make it more to the book but it was still a great movie even though that happened I absolutely loved the scene in the beginning it was so unexpected what happened that made the movie so worth watching I hope part 2 is more gory and more to the story and also scarier than this one so then I would grade it a 10/10 but it was an amazing movie definitely buying it on Blu-ray.
